My hair starts to curl while its drying on its own and I need help from it happening like the left side of the hair will curl left and the right side does the same and I can't keep my hair straight sometimes ill put a beanie on to keep it straight that helps a little bit but I don't know what else to do and im a guy and my hair is only little bit longer than my ear lobes.

I have extremely dry hair and the ones that work best for me are Garnier Fructis, Aussie, and John Frieda Frizz Ease, all are labeled especially for dry hair. I've never tried Dove but I've heard good things. Herbal Essence and Pantene do nothing but dry my hair even more. Actually, it depends on the person. Every body's hair reacts differently to a shampoo. For example, my best friend loves Herbal Essence and says it leaves her hair perfect while it does nothing for me but dry it even more. My suggestion is you should do what I did until you find the one that has the best results. Just buy the little sample bottles of each brand of shampoo and try a different one each time you wash your hair. It's pretty cheap and very effective as you'll find a perfect shampoo for you in no time.

It is possible that your hair is dry due to humidity. (if you are in a humid area) or it may be so used to having the straightener used on it.

ok. i dye my hair all the time. use some dandriff conditioner. if you are worried about it, before you get it colored, ask the cosmotologist if it will be ok. if you colored your hair just resently, it may not be a good idea to NOT color it becuase the dying dries your scalp out. however, its up to you! good luck with your decison. and i hope that i helped! l8ter
Have you dyed your hair before? If you don't have an allergy to dye, I'd say you're OK but I would put a lot of conditioner on your hair afterwards.
I found out that I was allergic to hair dyes, but not bleach. I was surprised. For a while I wanted to color my hair a darker, reddish shade of blonde so I kept trying the dye. So I would massage a lot of conditioner etc into my scalp before I dyed my hair. It helped but it can make the dye not "stick" to the hair near the scalp.
I ended up just going back to bleaching my hair, as I realized it was way too grey to try to dye it, with this allergy.
When I have dry flaky scalp, I use Selsan Blue with conditioner.
Dandruff shampoos and conditioners dry your scalp out because dandruff is really sometimes a scabby, oily condition. Stay away from dandruff conditioners. Use hot oil treatments for a few days and drink a lot of water. Also, stop using styling products to see if you have an allergy. If your scalp is itchy and you scratch it, the hair color will hurt really bad, so wait a few days!

#1 you need to deep moisturize... get plain kitchen olive oil (it has TONS of natural vit E a great moisturizer) and put it in your hair once a week for an hour. Cover your hair with a shower cap... then wash it out with a good shampoo for dry hair...
#2 once you've washed your hair, towel dry gently (do NOT rub hair with towel as this causes frizz). With hair still wet, apply a hair serum (not get and this will dry your hair)... serum has an oily feel to it so apply just a few drops in your hand and work it into your hair.... this will make it sleek and shiny
#3 invest in a good flat iron... you can straighten it once a week and it'll stay...

If there's a beauty school in your area, you could let a student cut it (the instructors are supervising) and pay $10 or so. This may sound weird, but when I used to swim, I did this %26amp; it helps. You can get leave-in conditioner and put it on every day %26amp; after swimming or you can take any kind of regular hand lotion (not fruity or anything) %26amp; rub a very small amount into your hands and and run it through your hair when it's wet (especially at the ends). Don't put too much at the roots because it will look greasy.

I've heard Mayonaise is a good conditioner for hair. You leave it on for about an hour and rinse out. If you wash your hair flipped over a tub it tanges more. you need to get rid of the chlorine buildup first. mix katchup and baking soda into a paste in a glass or plastic bowl. shampoo hair as usual. rinse. apply katchup and baking soda mix. comb thru (if you can. if not , don't bother) leave on 30 minutes and rinse. shampoo again. towel dry. conditioner. rinse with cool water.
the katchups acid eats the chemicals and the baking soda will exfoliate your hair and put it back to natural ph balance.
check your brush. does it (did it ) have balls? are any balls missing? get a new brush. one without balls. denman brand works great.

actually for my hair i use the panteen smooth and sleek shampoo and conditioner. then i put the leave in smooth frizzy hair conditioner. works GREAT
use alot of conditioner - usually the expensive ones from salons are the best. after you shampoo, rinse your hair, then apply the conditioner but leeave it on - don't rinse. wrap your hair in a towel and then an hour later jump back in the shower and rinse off the conditioner. Finish with a treatment leave-in solution for dry/damaged hair.

A volumizing shampoo is exactly the opposite of what you should be using. You want it to soften and smooth, not fluff out and firm up. Try Thermosilk - it works with the heat from your hair dryer. I think it's kind of expensive, but it sure works. Even the shampoo alone has an effect if you rinse it with very warm, almost hot water. But the conditioner does wonders with a hair dryer. I've had to deal with dry, frizzy hair all my life, too. PS I've tried Frizz-Ease and it did no good at all.
I have terribly dry, frizzy, thin hair. I went through so many different products until finally a hair stylist turned me toward Amplify. You can find it at most salons. I tried it and will NEVER go with anything else again.
U should try hair mask. Use at least twice a week and use a good conditioner everyday. Another way is to go for rebonding to tame the frizzy hair. But once it outgrows, the texture of ur hair will be dryer.

Since you have probably tried a ton of products already, try this. After shampooing your hair, towel dry and comb. Apply any conditioner concentrating on your ends. Comb throughout hair. Place a shower cap over all of your hair. Leave on for 20 minutes. After the time is up, while the cap is still in place, use your hair dryer for 5 min. Take cap off and rinse well with cool water. Try this 2x a week. Works wonders!
The best way to find the best products for your hair is to try them all. That would be pretty expensive but go over to a friends house and use some of her stuff. See how it works, and just keep trying new things. Hair may work with products from this company and not that company....it's all trial and error.
If I can suggest something, I would suggest you try a hot oil treatment....for a cheaper way to have great soft and silky hair with less frizzies, warm up some olive oil (regular cooking stuff) in the microwave and massage it into your hair while it is dry. Wrap it up in a warm towel from the drier and sit for an hour or so. Maybe give yourself a facial at the same time. Then get in the shower, and shampoo out all the oil (because water won't get the oil out--oil and water don't mix) and then condition your hair. Viola! Beautiful silky hair.
The most key thing to protecting your locks is to stay away from all heat. Yep, that means no hairdrier, no straightner, no curling iron either....It's very hard not to advert to these products but just try it for a week. Don't blow dry your hair for a week....try it. I know it's hard not to but if you stay away from things with heat such as blow driers, curling irons, straightners, etc....you will notice a HUGE change in the feel and look of your hair. It will be so much more healthy.

(well of course, results may vary according to the person's hair.) besides, coconut oil is better than conditioners 'cause it's natural and it has no chemicals. =)

The best solution for you is 2 step process.....first of all ...hair spray is known to dry your hair out if you use it....i suggest spay gel w/o alcohol......then i would use a leave-in conditioner....every know and then use a a hair masque.....the best simply is mayo....the heavier the better (the cheap kind not Miracle Whip got sugar in it).....then I would up my dosage of B-complex vitamins as well as Biotin.....they sell this at most drug stores...this should get you a good start

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)
Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)
Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

There is a salon line that is especialy made for that type of hair, they have shampoo, conditioner, treatments and everything. It is called Joico. Hopefully they have it where you are, you would probably have to get it from a hairdresser.

your roots may be oily because your scalp is dry and its trying to compensate for the lack of natural oils. dont wash your hair every day, try every other day and see if it helps.
Mine does the same but i am caucasion hair it was because my roots were getting too much conditioner so I only condition my older hair which was colored so it needed the conditioner so try cuting down on your natural hair.
My daughter is biracial. Mixed with black/white. She has this exact same problem. I use natures cream shampoo and conditioner. I wash her hair with the shampoo and rinse. Then I put the conditioner on only the bottom half of her hair. Let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse. Add a little leave in conditioner (I recomend Motions leave in conditioner) to the roots. Just a little though. Wash your hair every other day or if you can try to go every three days. When straightening your hair make sure you use a heat protectant spray. That will lock in the moisture and prevent your scalp from releasing too much natural oils. I recomend using chi hair heat protectant. It works really good. Then after you get finished straightening it use Hair glass by Redken. Good luck and I hope I helped.
my niece is bi-racial and here's what she does:
washes her hair twice a week with a good moisturizing shampoo - when the roots are oily and ends are dry, she will put the shampoo only on the roots and just rinse the ends - then she uses a deep conditioner, but is careful to not get it onto the roots/scalp
have you tried using Motions products? that's what my niece uses and her happiness with her hair has improved tremendously since she switched to that brand

The shampoo is wrong for your hair type.
only wash the ends of the hair, do not rub the shampoo near the roots.
do not squeeze out the water before applying conditioner use a pea size of conditioner %26amp; use on the length of the hair only not the roots.
Do not brush your hair a lot though the day as this will make more grease.
Stay away from shampoos designed to make your hair smooth silky etc they contain silicone which makes more grease.

The only reason ur roots are oily cause you dont shampoo ur hair right. you put shampoo in ur palm okay than rub your hand together then go to ur roots and rinse it really good rub it hard and really good and thats it and make sure you wash your hair good and then put conditioner on ur hair

apply curd, soaked methi powder to ur hair 1/2 hr before taking bath
try a homemade oil treatment with equal parts of olive oil and your regular conditioner. Two tsp of olive oil and two tsp of your conditioner and mix in a microwavable bowl for 7 seconds and apply on your hair and let sit for about 10 min. then rinse!

This is yucky, but people used to do this especially models. Mayonnaise w/ a plastic bag to help it penetrate. Do this on a day when you can stay home so that when you wash it out you don't have to blow dry it.

AS A TRICHOLOGIST OF 30 YEARS, MAY I SAY YOU ARE ALL VERY BADLY INFORMED. Any conditioner has to be a small enough molecular size and weight to be absorbed by the hair, if it is not, it lays on the hair shaft.
The cuticle open its scales and the large molecular size of these so called treatments lodge in the gap, as they cannot get in, thus forming a fungus on the hair shaft.
There are very few things you can use, but one of them is Redken Extreme Moisturiser. It does what it says on the tin, and though initially expensive, it lasts a long time.
ASk the stylist in the salon where you buy it to show you how to use it. Only a very small amount is needed, and you must whip it up with dry hands.
If you are feeling flush, try the shampoo as well, it is fantastic. I used Redken in all my salons for 30 years and I never had anyone complain!
get a deep conditioning mask or hot oil treatment, and let it sit in your damp hair for a good fifteen minutes, then wash out. Avoid putting the mask or oil on your roots. And get your hair trimmed regularly. Get a leave in spray conditioner or Redkens Smooth Down Heat Glide. Its a serum that you only use a tiny bit, and it smooths your hair, gets rid of flyaways, and helps to prevent against split ends.
IF you can't give up your blow dryer (Like so many woman I know) Then here's the next best thing.
USE Heat stimulant products. One's that protect while you use your blow dryer and such.
Like possibly ThermaSilk this product is HEAT activated so while your blow drying your hair your actually infusing a deep leave in conditioner.
Also STAY away from ALCOHOL based products. They are drying. IF you can't understand any of the "LINGO" on the product simple either ask the cosmetician you purchased it from or GO to the the products ONLINE website.
ONE product I favour is POMADE (Alberto's is ALCOHOL FREE and available at most dept stores and pharmacy's) although it takes a few applications to get the right amount where YOUR hair is NOT greasy lookin but HEALTHY lookin instead.
It's well worth the time!
try washing your hair less, when you come to wash your hair wash twice with shampoo, then put conditioner on and leave for 5 minutes and wash off, also if you can try and book in to your local hair salon to get regular trims. this should be bullet proof advice, so i hope it works for you.

You can buy hot oil or deep moisturising treatments in the shops, such as (but not restricted to) VO5 hot oil. They only take few minutes, and you could do them regularly until your hair improves. I like Clinique moisturising conditioner. It costs 鎷? but lasts quite a while. I leave it on for a few minutes and it tends to really improve my hair.
Firstly, you need a good diet.
Don't bother with all that molecular malarchey as your hair is dead!
Just let your hair dry naturally, use a good serum and use straighteners if you must....it doesn't matter if the product 'lays' on the hair anyway as your are gonna wash it in the next few days anyway! (thoroughly but not with hot water)

Right now I'm using Malibu2000 Well Water Action shampoo and the conditioner - I love it!!! (I'm throwing away my Garnier hair masque).
Then I towel dry and put in a very small amount of Tigi Catwalk Smooth %26amp; Shine and then blow dry and use the curling iron on the ends. It leaves my hair super-soft and in great condition (silky).
I have colored my hair and last year had a perm so I have been thru a lot of pain with my hair and finally found some products that make it feel great. I had deep conditioned and used so many products that my hair had been feeling heavy and coated.
When I did the Malibu products it cleaned it all off and left it soft for a change. I will be using that on a regular basis now. Plus, it's sulfate-free and can be used as a body wash - it's very gentle.
When my daughter did lifeguarding at the pool, she used Malibu Swimmer's version and it took the chlorine out of her hair.
i like all garnier fructis items. they work wonders.

My best suggestion would be to go to Sallys Beauty Supply store and get some hot oil treatments (only like 1 dollar or so for 1 tube) Get a bunch of those.. and there was also this little packet of leave in conditioner i bought by Ion or something like that which worked pretty good..
Another farely good one would be Sunsilk and its in a dark pink container.. It really makes your hair soft! The only thing i don't like about it is in the ingredients there is a type of alcohol in it.. My hair stylist awared me about this.. Thats why i'd suggest checking your local hair salon or sallys (they have some professional stuff :) )
I think the very best I have ever used and recommended is by Redken. Its called anti snap and is Fabulous!!!!!! Smells amazing too. Its filled with proteins for strength. Try it ..bet you love it .

I have thick,long curly hair and pantene products are the only ones that seem to do anything for my hair,and they have a leave in conditioner for dry,damaged hair.i have tried exspensive products and nothing seems to work like pantene.
I have a hair dresser friend who swears by canola oil. I use it weekly and it makes a massive difference. It is very close to the oil your scalp naturally produces to condition your hair. Comb enough through to make your hair damp, warm it up with a hair dryer if you have one as this opens up your hair and allows more absorbtion. Leave it in for a least an hour, the longer the better. Do it once a week, It is cheap and works well.
Pantene and New Garnier Fructus work well for me. New Garnier has a leave in smoothing cream that is great.

neutogena triple moisture silk touch leave-in cream is by far the best leave in conditioner i've ever used. it especially helps dry or damaged hair by getting into the center of every strand nourishing it with sweet almond, meadowfoam seed and olive. i love this stuff. it actually improved my hair! the cream is so light, and weightless, so it dosen't way ur hair down, but it still leaves my hair incredibaly soft and moisturized. i really think u should try it and trust me u'll love it! so cheap too! it's like 8 dollars for a 6 oz. bottle and u can find it at any drugstore or grocery store.

my hairs really frizzy and what i do to get rid of the frizz without making it look oily (like most serums do) is to scruch my hair with moose, which really works well.
after you get out of the shower or bath, use a de-frizzing hair lotion or at least some kind of leave in hair conditioner.

What i do is after i get out of the shower and my hair has been washed i use Aussie's Calm That Frizz syling creme and Aussie's Dual Personality: Spray Gel and Leave in Conditioner spray. I put both of these products (not to much) in my damp (but not soaking wet) hair and put it up in a messy bun for overnight and in the morining a take the bun out shake my head a little and it comes out beautiful.
There is a product called Curl Amplifier by Catwalk, which is AWESOME. you put it in your hair when its wet, it comes out as a light creme out of a pump in which you can control the amount that comes out. You twist it around your curls and it helps eliminate frizz while defining your waves/curls. You can also put it in when your hair is dry, although it works best when it is wet. No need to blow dry your hair, this product works best if you airdry. You can also try the Curl Booster also by Catwalk, which has a similar purpose however ca be sprayed in dry hair to re-enhance the curl and give a bit of hold. You can find these products in professional salons, where they are guaranteed and if you are unsatisfied you can returns them. My sister swears by both of these products; in fact the amplifier is catwalks #1 selling item! Hope this helped =0)

There are more, but I dont really know them. I use the curls.biz line, but I use some of the other websites products once in a while. When you find something that works for you, stick with it. These websites have products that have less, very little or no chems in it and 100% natural. Thats why they may seem expensive. Youre paying for quality. They have worked for my curly hair.
You should also deep condition once a week, dont comb or brush your curly hair when dry, shampoo only 2x a month (only apply shampoo to the scalp!), and keep your hair moisturized! Spritz some water to refreshen your hair instead of adding more hair products. Sometimes I just like to run the water in my hair, kind of like if Im washing my hair, but just to clean my scalp a little bit. Hope this helps you. God bless.

IF you are like me you might want to try ( now don't laugh it really works) any of the Ion products that are normally used by Black women. I have been using them for several months and found that my hair is softer and less frizzy, plus they have styling gel and sprays that won't weigh the hair down. I have fought with my curly hair for years and now if I want i straighten it i can with ease as well as going curly too!!!
I love the "Noodle Head" products by Beyond Zone. There's shampoo, conditioner, and a cream that I put on my wet hair and let it air dry. Each bottle is around $6. I've used so many products in the past. I can't stand the oily feeling of serums. I don't know what I'd do without Noodle Head.
I don't if you tried it yet or not,but try Garnier Fructis Curl and Shine collection.It works really well for me and its a lot cheaper than the other brands.
I have dry, curly hair too. Here's my routine. I like using Tresemme Moisturizing Shampoo and the conditioner, very cheap. I use a creamy leave-in conditioner on my wet hair. You can use any brand really but I use L'Anza Urban Elements Hair Protector. I get this at a beauty supply store; a 33-oz bottle costs like $25, it's so worth it though. The bottle even lasts me a whole year, really. After the leave-in conditioner, I put a dab of gel on the ends while the hair is still wet. I have two gels. I like using Citre Shine and Ouidad. Never heard of Ouidad? Girl, you've been missing out. Ouidad is a company of hair care products exclusively for curly hair! Only available online though, but I'm telling you their gel is great even though it's pricey - again, so worth it. I don't wash my hair everyday because I heard that dries your hair out even more since you're washing out your hair's natural oils. So, I wash it every other day. When I wash it I use the Ouidad gel, just a dab. When I don't wash it, I use the Citre Shine gel with some water. I also do a hot oil treatment every other week and in between those I just use a deep conditioner in the shower. Also, don't forget to have your hairstylist trim the ends every 2 months!
You should go to a salon and have them take a look at your hair. They will recommend a good Shampoo and Conditioner for you. You may need another shampoo also because a lot of them dry your hair. Get a gentle daily shampoo.
A deep conditioning treatment it must be dry but use that and put some heat while doing it for about 30min to 45min then rinse it with warm water then style it it should help it . good luck

I did this last night it worked great. Scrub Apple Cider vinigar into your hair. Put your hair into a towel and let it dry. Go to sleep when you wake up wash your hair and it is all better. Just make sure when your rubbing the vinigar in you scrub. The acid in the vinigar unclogs your pores.

Get some Head and Shoulders shampoo....it works really well....but of course u have to use it more than once... i use it on my hair. when u wash your hair, shampoo it twice.... the results will be a lot better that way!
The Hair? Shave it off. The dry flakes? Use a specially medicated shampoo like Head and Shoulders or if that doesn't work, ask a dermotologist for an RX type that is stronger.
Depends on it if it is just tight, dry scalp or actual dandruff which is a medical condition and contagious to boot.
Head and shoulders is horrible.. its stripping to the hair, can coat it with waxy stuff.. Most dry flakey hair is just an untended to scalp.. not washing it properly, dig the tips of your fingers in when you wash your hair and rotate them slowly, try shampooing twice rinsing REALLY well til it feels squeaky then using a light conditioner. Scalp massages and cholesterol treatments can often help with over dry scalps.

Use a dandruff shampoo and/or conditioner. Head %26amp; Shoulders is my favorite brand, however it can be very expensive. If you have extremely dry, flaky hair, try using the extensive care product from H%26amp;S. I think it's in a navy blue bottle, unless they changed their packaging. Another option is using a less mild shampoo like Herbal Essances or Dove, if they have a shampoo(I really don't remember.) Thermasilk I believe has special color-coated bottles for different hair remedies. If nothing helps, contact a dermatologist. They can prescribe the best treatment for your scalp. Hope I helped!

secondly, make sure you're rinsing your hair out good...because the dried shampoo or soap can leave flakes.
also, make sure you have good water pressure in the shower.
if this doesn't help...a dermatologist can prescribe a special soap that will rid you of flakes......it may be due to a fungus or bacteria of some sort.

Nexxus / Humectress- THE BEST! My hair was pretty bad until I started using this (with Nexxus Therapy Shampoo). I also was using it as a pomade (a little left in after I washed my hair and a little put on my ends, after my hair was dry. Especially during the summer when my hair dries out due to swimming and being in the sun).

Dry and brittle hair needs a deep conditioning treatment. Try Nexxus Humectress, Sebastian 2+1, or Sebastian Potion #9. They cost a little bit more than the regular store brands but are well worth it (this is what worked for me).

well that was the most stupidest thing i've ever heard.
I straighten my hair every 2 or 3 days and its gets really dry. Its a pretty cheap straightener and im saving up for a new one that wont be so damaging, but I have so much split ends. I get my hair trimmed every now and then but it doesn't take long for the split ends to come back...
And not straightening my hair is not an option. Its the kind that puffs out 3inches from your head..haha

i straighten my hair a couple times a week as well, and i have a nice flat iron and that doesnt help i still get split ends. u need to get regular trims, and a leave in condtioner, u should also use some kind of flat iron serum to protect your hair when u straigthening it, ion is a good brand . and u should use a weekly hot oil treatment.
the absolutely very best conditioner for my hair is mayonnaise - hellmans, kraft, any brand. I put it on dry hair, put a shower cap on and a towel just out of the dryer over that and leave it on for an hour. Rinse it out, shampoo to get the excess out, and dry it....this is the best conditioner I've ever used on my hair...it will really relax your hair and put quite a shine on it, too! Do not do this is you plan to go anywhere - your hair will smell like mayo for a day or two, but it does help to deep condition your hair! FYI - I can only do this maybe once or twice a month as it REALLY conditions my hair (gets pretty limp and lifeless if I do it more!)....Good luck!

but i use sunsilk anti-poof shampoo and hydra-tlc conditioner. i'm thinking those would work pretty good on your hair. the hydra-tlc gives your hair moisture and helps prevent breakage.

4. Light amount of Hairspray
5. Don't touch it the oils on your hands make it unperfect.

then blow dry your hair with a large round brush
then touch it up with a flat iron

Use a flat iron after blow drying. Spraying a little bit of Paul Mitchell hairspray in your hair while its still wet works really good. You only need a little.

i have naturally super curly hair. i found a straightening product put out by Bed head. it super straight. it works, no frizz like all the other products. if you have a cost cutters hair salon in your area they sell it, if not find out who sells the bed head products in your area. its in a lime green can. i still have to use a heat straightener on the ends, but it doesnt take near as long now to do my hair.
There is a straightener i got and it works really well,the brand name is:Andi's Multi-heat ceramic,it works wonders!!!!It heats up in 60 seconds too!

I shower for about 15 mins with Garnier Fructis sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner ,it takes me about 20 mins to blow dry, i use a cream called Rusk Thermal STR8 Protective Styling cream(in salons) and 15 mins to straighten. After, to make it shiny and smelling great(it works really well in getting the frizz away), i use Garnier Fructis sleek and shine hair serum in a small circle bottle. Hey then you have 10 mins to do your makeup!

A lot of thick conditioner. Shampoo has no effect. It's just soap in a bottle. The thicker conditioners are Aussie, pantene, herbal essence, V05 Oasis. Mostly its the styling after you wash that makes most of the difference. It has very little to do with your washing products. Get a good shine spray and use a hairdryer, or use some gel to manage the fuzziness.

I mix extra virgin olive oil into my conditioners. Sometimes I mix that and honey to calm down the frizzies. Extra virgin olive oil is the oil I currently have at the house.

Olive oil, mayonaisse, and egg yolk can all be used. I know it seems gross, but if you put a mixture of them in your hair, and leave it in overnight, you should have much stronger hair the next day. Just don't forget to wash it out the next day!
Good, sharp scissors can individually clip split ends. If used on individual strands, the still-good hair is not altered.
Like oils, etc., scissors don't really "repair" hair, but they do prevent bad from getting worse.
ughhh.. well it takes a while to find the perfect product.. it took me a super long time.. first of all you need to get an excellent moisturizer.. there is one called "serious" conditioner. you can probably look it up... i think its by "tigi" its a silver and pink plastic bottle.. smells good also.. leave that in for a while. then try not to use mousse, because the alcohol in it dries out hair and causes frizz... bed head makes a good gel, but use it sparingly.. too much look greasy.. or just find a really good serum!

Yes, indeed, coconut oil is good for your hair and scalp. You can use it as a pre-wash conditioner or leave-in moisturiser. If you use it before shampooing, apply it (room temperature or warm) about 30 mins before washing. For deep conditioning, you can leave it overnight. Use youe fingers to massage the oil into your scalp and hair length. Another deep conditioning method: hot oil bath - wrap a warm towel on your oil-impregnated hair, repeat a couple times prior to shampooing. If you use coconut oil as a leave-in moisturiser, be sure to use very little, and apply to the length only. Or your hair will be greasy. Use even less if you use hot hair styling tools as oil is flammable. If you feel that your hair is too dry after styling, then you can use some extra drops for shine and a silky touch. Alternatively, you can use olive oil for comparable results. I do believe that oils are better moisturisers than many regular polymer-based leave-in conditioners because polymers are plastics that, when subjected to hot styling tools, melt onto the hair and cause damage.
FYI, oils are moisturising aids. If your hair is chemically treated, you still need to use a good shampoo and conditioner to nourish the hair. The oil is just a supplement to keep moisture in. Most Indians pull it off with just a little bit of coconut oil because chemical treatments (colouring and/or relaxing/texturising/perming) are not very popular practises; so their hair is naturally healthy.
Use a deep conditioner once a week and a light leave-in conditioner (Aussie Dual Personality is great) after shampooing and conditioning in the shower. Also, hot oil treatments are great for revitalizing your hair and making it silky soft. Clairol puts them out and you can get them at Wal Mart.
Regular professional help in the initial stage until it stabilizes should work.
Regular application of Leave-in Conditioners sometimes works too. Use a conditioner manufactured by professional hair brands, like Kerastase, Redken %26amp; etc.
Alternatively, there is this homeopathic treatment which worked for my dry-hair problems:
Hair Egg Conditioner Recipe
1 teaspoon baby oil
1 egg yolk
1 cup water
Beat the egg yolk until its frothy, add the oil then beat again. Add to the water. Massage into the scalp and throughout your hair. Rinse well.

Most conditioners only contain fabric softener to soften your hair but don't do much to moisturize it. So most people have soft hair that is in bad condition. Look for natural oils such as jojoba oil or wheat germ oil reasonably high in the ingredient list in the conditioner. also look for protein too. Aubrey organics GPB conditioner is great. So is Neutrogena's . The #1 selling conditioner in the US is mostly fabric softener and has nothing to help your hair whatsoever. Incidentally silicone does nothing for the condition of you hair either (Dimethicone or anything ending in -one) it only keeps humidity out to keep your hair from frizzing and adds shine artificially. You could also try ABBA. Also if you use shampoo with sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate you are stripping your hair. Look for shampoos with gentler cleansers such as ammonium lauryl/laureth sulfate or cocamide DEA. There are lots on the market but you have to search them out. Herbal essences Hello Hydration is one. After this you just have to figure out what works best for your hair and switch up occasionally. And don't wash your hair too much. I wash mine like 1 to2x a week and I have amazing hair.
first off if you wash your hair every day you are destroying it. If hair is naturally dry, hairstylists recommend you wash your hair ever other to every three days.
leave in conditioners are pretty good, but my favorite is pantene for dry damaged hair.
my hair is very curly and it will look dry unless i straighten it out. If you dry it with a ceramic brush and a hair dryer it works really well-it takes a little practice but try it out once you get the hang or it it will work (i can make my hair look straighter than a stylist can) good luck
