What is the best flat iron to use on curly hair? one that wont dry your hair out so bad?

The best flat iron on the market is the GHD Hair Straightener. The CHI is also pretty good. Both are ceramic, and won't damage your hair as much as a cheap metal iron. I think the GHD is more effective, though. The CHI is really popular in America, while the GHD is popular in the United Kingdom and Australia. It's best to use a ceramic iron that has ceramic plates, and is not just ceramic-coated.

You can buy both at http://www.folica.com/. If you decide to get one, don't straighten your hair every day. Straightening it every day will do untold damage to your hair, even if the iron is ceramic. Always use a heat protectant before you iron your hair.

L'Oreal makes one, and so does BioSilk. If you don't want to purchase a hot iron online, you can probably buy the CHI or GHD in a salon. Salons usually charge more, though.

If you don't want frizz, use a serum like BioSilk or John Frieda's Frizz Ease. Frizz Ease has several serums, depending on your hair type. Garnier Fructis also makes a serum.

You can look up ceramic iron reviews on this site: http://www.makeupalley.com/.

The absolute best is the Chi. I am serious ok, dont even try any others. The only thing is a hair stylst has to buy it, and its like $125. If you can get it, go to a beauty supply store and buy the helen on troy, make sure it gets hot though, like over 250 degrees. and buy one that is ceramic. Believe me I have had a million straigteners just go get one of these two youll love it

well im mixed with white and hispanic so my hair is real curly. the one that i use and wont ever get a new one is Conair Ceramic Technology.. i think it works really good n it heats up in less than 60 seconds so if ur on the go and have to fix ur hair its good. what helps my hair stay soft and not frizzy is Biosilk.. its a little expensive but its the best..

The F.H.I from the store Beauty First really works on my sisters hair... seriously you would only have to do it once and it'll be straight! It's awesome...

You should try using biosilk first then use a CHI iron, they are great, don't fry your hair, and last. Worth the money!
