Does hair gel, make your hair dry?

Yea, I don't think it is especially good for African American hair.

It can cause breakage and damage to our hair.

Use the other's suggestions and get one with no alcohol.

Does hair gel, make your hair dry?

yes, it contains alcohol. try to find alcohol-free products.

Does hair gel, make your hair dry?

yeah use an alcohol free and also lots of conditioner help.

Does hair gel, make your hair dry?

any hair product with alchol will make your hair dry. Try using K-Pak by Joico available at most salons.

Please help me with dry, brittle hair!!!?

Please don't tell me about mayonaise and all salon products. I've done everything.

Please help me with dry, brittle hair!!!?

Massage oil through it. Wrap it in a hot towel for five minutes and wash it.

Please help me with dry, brittle hair!!!?

Okay.....if you heat-treat your hair( curlers, straighteners...stuff like that) STOP!!!!!!! If you just can't do without them...use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner(I like Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner). Then when your hair is still wet, massage in a small drop(half-pea size) of shine serum into your ends. Let air dry. NEVER use a hot hair tool on wet hair!! This fries your hair into crisps!!! And drink LOTS of water. Pretty soon you will see great improvement in your hair! Hope I helped!

Please help me with dry, brittle hair!!!?

It's time for some nutritional supplements. Go to your local health food store and ask for assistance with picking out the perfect supplements to assist you.

Perhaps it's also time for a medical check up if you haven't been in a while.

Blessings!

Please help me with dry, brittle hair!!!?

put lots of olive oil on your hair for like 10-15mins and then wash it out with shampoo and trust me your hair well be better.

Please help me with dry, brittle hair!!!?

Believe it or not, honey did the trick for me when it was fried after going to the salon for a procedure called Thermal rebonding, allow for honey to be absorbed for at least half an hour everyday,I still do it whenever I think my hair needs nourishment.

Please help me with dry, brittle hair!!!?

Use Olive oil. And stop washing your hair everyday.

I have the same problem and Olive oil makes my hair look and feel good.

After I wash it a massage some oil (depending on length of hair) if it short use about the amount of quarter rub in your palms and then massage your hair. Another quicker way is to cover your hair with a shower cap once you have put the oil on your hair, then get the blow dryer on high run it over the cap. That will get much quicker results. Don't wash your hair. Wait a day and repeat process.

Please help me with dry, brittle hair!!!?

I would try using Infuseum. I know when I tried it for the first time, it practicaly broke off all my dead hair. Other good products are V-05 hot oil treatments, another is a yellow paste called Cholesterol(yes that is the name) this can be found most anywhere. Tresemme, Pantene is good to if you haven't tried it. Frizz-ez hair serum. (really good). Try not to blow dry your hair for a while, the heat does further damage to the hair. One product my mom uses to make her hair soft is a conditioner that comes in her hair coloring kit (Nice and Easy I think it is) It's in a blue tube.

Please help me with dry, brittle hair!!!?

Just try and give your hair a break from all hair dyes, and heat irons, if you're using any of that. I damaged my hair badly by straightening it %26amp; getting highlights too much. Eventually I dyed my hair back to my natural color, and stopped styling it when I wasn't going anywhere. Try not to do anything to your hair if you don't have to. Every couple of days after you wash your hair try letting it air dry. You can sleep with conditioner in you hair overnight for a little treatment, and most importantly don't wash it everyday. Sometimes your hair just needs a little rest. Hope this was helpful!

How can I get rid of my dry, poofy hair?

sister, welcome to my cold, harsh world. if you have curl, don't flat iron it a lot! that'll only make hair even drier and further damage it. same goes for any other hot tool. use a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner (nexxus has an awesome line of moisturizing shampoo and conditioner) and wash don't wash every day! use a deep conditioning treatment at least once a week and let it sit in your hair for 20 minutes. to style hair, use an olive-oil based shine serum and apply it to the ends and use lots and lots of mouse to cut down the poof and frizz factor.

good luck!

How can I get rid of my dry, poofy hair?

Try a leave in conditioner and some biosilk shine(very little) after you wash your hair and let id dry naturally. If your hair is curly you may also want to try a very small amount of hair polish to keep the curls looking pretty and not dry or poofy.

A razor should do the trick.

Just kidding!

Move to Oregon where it's more humid!

How can I get rid of my dry, poofy hair?

oh god i have the same problem. i'm still looking for answers but i can tell you not to get that sunsilk sh!t. i've tried anti-poof and moisturizing and it only does the complete opposite. good luck finding other things though!

How can I get rid of my dry, poofy hair?

Poofy hair, I love that one, I also heard it before. Sounds like too short of a layering on top. Use some sort of palm-aid or styling wax. The weather in your area has a lot to do with the type of product you use, so ask people around your neighborhood what they use for ''poofy hair'', If the wax you use is too heavy then use less and work it through more. Yes, Bed Head is great stuff

How can I get rid of my dry, poofy hair?

Thats what I have, dry, poofy hair. What I do to tame it is after showering i towel dry a little, brush it and then add hair gel. Then I just leave it to do as it pleases. My hair is long and curly, so usually it just leaves nice curls. If I dont add any products to my hair, then it is so dry and poofy I dont even want to go out in public.

How can I get rid of my dry, poofy hair?

How can I get rid of my dry, poofy hair?

Use the shampoos and conditioners that are designed for straightening hair. These do a great job in retexturing the dry hair. That said, try Sunsilk lines. In fact, Sunsilk has a line for Poofy hair that is great. Also, use Kerastase Oleo-Relax serum. It is expensive, but does miracles for dry and damaged hair-

How can I get rid of my dry, poofy hair?

You can use the sunsilk hairapy product line. They have one for actual anti-poof. There is shampoo, conditioner, 24-7 creme, and a masque. Follow the directions and it should help. I'm not saying you'll ever have model/actress worthy hair but it will be much more tamable and managable.

How can I get rid of my dry, poofy hair?

First, if it's processed, (coloured, permed, flattened, whatever), all that processed hair is worse, and you should get it cut off.

Starting with a good, short, versatile haircut is important.

Don't use heated tools to style your hair. If you must do, be sure to use a pre-heat conditioner.

Look for the word 'humectant' in your hair products -- this attracts and binds moisture. If you live somewhere humid, take advantage of nature, and use moisurising styling mousse or gel, but stay away from spray.

If you live somewhere dry, try shampooing less often. Wash your hair with water, but no shampoo, every other time, and decrease the number of times you shampoo until your hair stays fairly soft. Be sure to use a humectant shampoo for very dry hair. The reason to skip the shampoo is that the detergents which get hair clean also strip natural oils. Your hair is too dry. Washing with clean water doesn't strip the oils. Just make sure to massage your scalp, and distribute natural oils throughout your hair. You'll be surprised how much you don't need to shampoo.

If your hair is exposed to any sunshine, you need a sunscreen conditioner. Most conditioners have sunscreen in. Since you don't shampoo every day, use a light conditioner, with a light hand. Once a week, use a deep, leave-in conditioner, after shampooing.

Don't assume more expensive means 'better'. BUT don't just buy any old products. It's useful to take your shampoo and conditioner to a licenced cosmetologist (USA), or look it up yourself on the 'net (UK) -- sorry... a pharmacist wouldn't know, here... grrr -- and find out what the ingredients are, and what they do. Paraffin, for example, appears in many conditioners. That's just wax. It doesn't wash off with water, and looks dull, but it will weigh your hair down.

Well-informed is well armed, when it comes to anything you use on your hair, skin, or nails. (Scalp, rather than hair). Learning a bit of chemistry isn't a bad idea.

If worst comes to worst, shaving your head, and wearing wigs isn't a bad option! I keep mine short, and wear wigs, so I don't have to process it, after 35 years of doing my own and my mates' hair. This way, I can produce any length, colour, and style, by opening a box.

LOL

How can I get rid of my dry, poofy hair?

I have thick, dry, coarse hair and prefer to use thick conditioners like Sunsilk. They have one now specifically called Anti-Poof. I use leave in conditioner and then mousse to hold my hair. Then don't touch it! I think the biggest key to keeping frizz down is not to touch your hair after that 'window of time' after showering has passed.

What's the best leave-in conditioner for dry, coarse hair?

I'm an african american guy who's growing his hair out. I need to know whats a good leave-in conditioner that I can use daily to keep my hair soft and manageable, especially in the dry winter months.

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo/conditioner for dry, frizzy hair?

Everyone recommends Garnier Fuctis but it only got rid of the frizzies and made my hair dull and limp. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo/conditioner for dry, frizzy hair?

Do not use shampoos that have sodium sulfate(most of the shampoos on the market). Use more natural shampoos.

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo/conditioner for dry, frizzy hair?

i like you "suffer" from naturally curly frizzy hair, but i ave found this combination works.....nicky clarkes shampoo %26amp; conditioner for seriously curly hair.....follow instructions on bottles....then towel dry very lightly and brush hair out, apply dove "leave in conditioner" for curly hair..brush through then toss your head upside down and gently scrunch those curls back in..keeping your head upside down wrap your head in a warm towel and leave on for a good hour or until your hair is nearly dry..but not quite...then use a finishing cream to define those light bouncy curls...for next day touch up just wet your hands lightly and scrunch the curls in again...avoid the hair dryey at all costs !!!! i find its best to wash your hair every 2-3 days to keep your curls lookin their best.............do try to eat a good heatly diet rich in fish oils and omega fatty acids as these really get rid of the frizz in your hair try for a least 30 days to see a difference

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo/conditioner for dry, frizzy hair?

Try Kera Kare hydrating shampoo and deep conditioner, Also IC hair polish works great!!!

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo/conditioner for dry, frizzy hair?

Paul Sebastion Professionals Laminates and use the Laminates Drops afterwards STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING THAT HAS PANTHENOL IN IT. Pantene, etc. will make your hair very unhealthy

I use Redkin's Allsoft shampoo and condition and Heavy Cream deep conditioner. Works like a charm! My dry frizzy hair is now in control!

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo/conditioner for dry, frizzy hair?

Neutrogena Triple Moisture!!

AHH I swear by it! It leaves my hair soo silky soft..i love it!

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo/conditioner for dry, frizzy hair?

I swear by Aveda Damage Remedy- I have curly hair that I flat iron every day. Damage Remedy helps repair it. I alternate that with Aveda Sap Moss. It's a pre-shampoo treatment, shampoo, and conditioner that you can use about once a week. It's amazing how much softer and more manageable my hair feels after using it. Not too expensive either- about $60 for all 3 bottles, and $40/bottle for the Damage Remedy. They last forever though. If you want a cheaper option Dove Advanced Care: Therapy works really well but I wouldn't recommend using it more than twice a week because it can really weigh your hair down, though it does leave it soft and silky.

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo/conditioner for dry, frizzy hair?

you could use therma silk it works really good.

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo/conditioner for dry, frizzy hair?

try sunsilk either anti poof or anti frizz..actually it works best if you use a combination of both...you can get it at wal mart,k mart, walgreens, etc.

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo/conditioner for dry, frizzy hair?

Try a new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free. The fragrances are awesome! You'll be able to get it at Kroger, Target, Albertsons, Duane Reade, etc.

How to blow dry your hair straight?

U dont'. U just use a straightener.

How to blow dry your hair straight?

What you want to do is separate your hair into small sections (or whatever amount you feel comfortable with.) Then what you want to do is get a brushwith a mixture of boars hair and synthetic bristles. Take each section and using low heat start with the brush at the roots and pull the brush and the hair dryer down the strand or hair. Always point the dryer down becasue this eliminates frizz and enhances shine.

How to blow dry your hair straight?

Towel dry first. Then split up your hair in four sections. Make a section run a small amount of smoothing cream in it and brush it out. Hold the hair taut with your brush and aim the dryer nozzler driectly at the hair. Go on high heat running it up and down the hair shaft. Then blow it with cool air to set. If it's still wavy, run it over with a flat iron for a sleek look.

How to blow dry your hair straight?

1) get your supplies ( flatbrush, blowdryer, defrizzafier ect)

2) Take the flat brush, turn on the blowdryer, and comb

3) this is where it gets crucial, while the blowdryer is going take the flat brush and place it under your hair, make sure the brisels are up and start blow drying

4)move the brush and the blowdryer at the same time and when you get to the end of your hair curl it in

How to blow dry your hair straight?

use a paddle brush or a round brush when you're blowdrying your hair. If it's not straight enough use a straightener after.

How to blow dry your hair straight?

When I want to blow dry my hair strait, the night b4, I use redken smooth down. You put it in with towel dryed hair. Then if it is the morning, I brush out my hair, and use one of those round bristle-brushes with the blowdryer. You can do it in sections or all of it but sections are easier for thick hair. When you are all done, just put a very light layer of hairspray on it and you are good to go.

My hair is dry, poofy, frizzy and curly..HELP!?

I'd love to keep my hair out, but the problem is that when i try; it poofs up and becomes a huge afro. My hair is also very coarse and long. I'd love it if anyone can help me with products that will suit my hair... If anyone who has similar hair type to mine and has a special way of keeping it into incredible soft, long beautiful curls.. Please tell mee. Also and shampos/conditioners. etc are welcome. I am currently using the pink sunsilk bottle and have found no diffeence! I have tried tons of product including redken etc... Thanks!

My hair is dry, poofy, frizzy and curly..HELP!?

I know how you feel! Don't wash your hair everyday! Let your natural oils build up because when you wash your hair everyday it will become dried out.

Vo5 hot oil treatment.

Hask Placenta Deep conditioner Extra Strength.

My hair is dry, poofy, frizzy and curly..HELP!?

sounds like my hair! what i do is i either straighten it...or if i want to go with my natural curls i take a shower at night, use herbal essance mousse in it,throw it into a messy bun, sleep with it, and take it out in the morning...i usally give it a few minutes to dry ater taking it out and scrunch it a little with my hands...good luck!

My hair is dry, poofy, frizzy and curly..HELP!?

Dont wash your hair every day it will dry it out wash it every 2-4 days, use sunsilk it works the best!!! and get some leave in conditinor

My hair is dry, poofy, frizzy and curly..HELP!?

I have of people using Ian Charles Curlaway Natural Relaxer. They sell it at walgreens and it cost $20. I did hear it smells bad until it is washed out but it doesn't have chemicals I think. But if you want to try something else...when you wash your hair then leave a little conditioner in it when rinsing. Put a little mouse then braid it. It is good to do over night or if your home all day. When it is dry let it go and just fix it with your fingers. You will have nice waves. good luck.

My hair is dry, poofy, frizzy and curly..HELP!?

It might take trying a few different products before you find what works best for your hair. Every curly head is different so what one person swears by may not do a thing for you. Don't get discouraged and don't chemically straighten your hair or it will dry out even more!

As far as shampoo/conditioners, don't shampoo every day. If you are into activities that make you sweat a lot, then just rinse your hair and apply conditioner then rinse that out in between shampoos. Also, give Neutrogena triple moisture a try. I use it on my daughter's hair and it works well. They can't keep it on the shelves at the store I get it from so it must work for a lot of people.

How do u stop ur hair from being so dry and falling out and being so uneven?

I have black peoples kind of hair and i can't stop it from being dry no matter what i put on it.Its falling out and starting to be uneven. What should i do?!

How do u stop ur hair from being so dry and falling out and being so uneven?

Have you ever tried Olive Oil? I find that it works best when warmed and then set on your hair, Wash out after about 10mins if your hair is really dry. Then put a cream base (not oil based) leave in moist. in your hair.

How do u stop ur hair from being so dry and falling out and being so uneven?

Redkens "Anti-snap" is a great product !! You appy after you wash and condition, before you comb out. Most people make the biggest mistake by not trimming there hair enough, I know i dont like to mine very much, but even a "dusting" all over will help alot. Hormones and new medicines can also greatly effect hair, so take that in to mind too. "Anti- snap" will help with breakage and help repair the hair with out making it oily it also gives you a great smoother, softer feel. you use it every time you washand within a month your hair will no dout be much better, I can promise you that this will work!! Good Luck!

How do u stop ur hair from being so dry and falling out and being so uneven?

- apply leave-in conditioner before you go outside to protect your locks, UV rays dry out your hair even in the winter.

- strengthen strands by eating sulfur-rich foods (milk, fish, eggs)

- prevent hair loss by getting at least 7 hours of sleep at night.

- 8 glasses of water a day, helps your skin and your hair, your hair is made of the same proteins as skin.

- use the right amount of conditioner, one tablespoon should do the job.

- get to a hairdresser and get a new style.

How do u stop ur hair from being so dry and falling out and being so uneven?

Massage aloe Vera gel over the scalp, leave it for about one hour. After this rinse the hair with warm water. It gives excellent results for hair loss if one uses this massage at least 3-4 times a week. Check out

So you want bright lively soft hair? Olive oil is the only thing you need!!Its natural essence can soften the hair, makes hair shiny, and isn't greasy when used in moderate.

Just mix equal parts with your conditioner (1 tbsp of olive oil and 1 tbsp of your conditioner) and mix them in a shallow microwavable container and heat it just enough to get warm but not overly hot then apply on damp hair- concentrating on ends- and let sit for about 10 min. then rinse.

Hair Wash

The best way of washing hair is with Aritha and Shikakai Powder. It does not have any chemicals or any other side effects. Aritha and Shikakai powder is available at any General stores or even a banyan shop.

Shampoos

Dry Hair - Egg, Herbal shampoo or any shampoo for dry hair.

Normal Hair - For normal hair fruit shampoos or henna shampoo is good.

Oily Hair - Lemon Shampoo

Hair Oil

Oil your hair at least once in a week. If you have dry hair then oil it twice a week. Hair oil gives the necessary moisturizers to your hair. Herbal hair oil provides you the necessary nourishment along with the moisturizers.

Hair Conditioners

Henna

Henna conditions and colours your hair.

Dry hair - Add some milk, water and 1-2egg yolks in henna. This mixture will not dry your hair and will make it soft and manageable. Apply it monthly.

Normal to Oily Hair 閳?Add water, lemon, egg yolks in henna. You can apply Henna fortnightly.

Home made conditioners

Add 褰?cup of vinegar in 闄?bucket of water. This will give a good shine to your hair. Mix curds and egg yolks together and apply it for 1hour.

Hair Tonics

Try tonic Hair Oil閳ユ獨 powder - Put 4 tsp of this powder in water, boil it and after cooling down apply it on hair. This will stop hair loss, rejuvenate and nourish your hair.

My hair is wavy, dry brittles, dull. What shud i do?

Go to a salon and ask for a deep conditioning treatmeant, also if you style your hair with heat daily, stop for a while. if you Must style your hair with a heat tool, use a protectent. Also use a very mild shampoo and instead of normal conditioner, use a deep conditioner like Aussie 3 minute miracle or another brand. after showering, use a leave in conditioner. Also get split ends trimmed off. best of luck :D

My hair is extremely dry and hard feeling, how do you get it to be soft and smooth, and how long will it take?

My hair is extremely dry and hard feeling, how do you get it to be soft and smooth, and how long will it take?

You might have product build up %26amp; need a clarifying shampoo to remove it. Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo is the best one.

Joico shampoos are really good. I like Head %26amp; Shoulders too.

Joico K-Pak Conditioner %26amp; Pantene conditioners are excellent. Assuming you haven't fried your hair, it should only take a couple of days to get your hair back to feeling soft.

My hair is extremely dry and hard feeling, how do you get it to be soft and smooth, and how long will it take?

you need like a better shampoo. i think ur a gut by he pic thingy but idk lol. if ur a girl use a different type shampoo/ conditioner especially 4 ur problem...and if ur a guy use a little bit of conditioner with it. thats wat make your hair soft usually nad gets all the tangles out of it. good luck with ur crunchy hair lol

My hair is extremely dry and hard feeling, how do you get it to be soft and smooth, and how long will it take?

Soak your hair in Olive oil, Then wash it out real good and put in SunSilk De-Frizz %26amp; Silk Drops. You can find them @ Wal-Mart.

My hair is extremely dry and hard feeling, how do you get it to be soft and smooth, and how long will it take?

All of the above comments, also sometimes water pressure may have something to do with it. Softer water in showers may make your hair softer.

Plus deep conditioner, left in as suggested. I also suggest leave in conditioner.

My hair is extremely dry and hard feeling, how do you get it to be soft and smooth, and how long will it take?

personally try some..hot oil treatments for your hair...twice a week for a month..then if no improvements...go to a salon and get a treatment...then to prevent the same from happening buy a better shampoo...my favorite is sunsilk [ its a cheap alternative to salon products and it works just as good]

My hair is extremely dry and hard feeling, how do you get it to be soft and smooth, and how long will it take?

It depends a lot on what products you are using and your diet. A poor diet lacking in vitamins and nutrients can make skin, nails, and hair lacking in appearance.

Invest in a good women's health supplement, like something from OneSource. Getting your essential nutrition will greatly increase your hair's quality and appearance.

Like someone mentioned before, use a deep conditioner. Not only does Aussie make one, so does Pantene as well, which is my product of choice. You should use these deep conditioning treatments, along with regular conditioning atleast 3 days a week. When your hair is wet, apply a leave in conditioner and comb your hair with a wide tooth comb instead of a brush, to avoid further breakage.

Try to aviod heat styling if you can, atleast not blow drying. And when all is dry, you can use finishing products to give you more shine, like a pomade or shine serum.

Hope this helps!

PS...I don't know how long it will take...sorry! I haven't seen the damage.

My hair is extremely dry and hard feeling, how do you get it to be soft and smooth, and how long will it take?

try doing a hot oil treatment once a week. it worked for me since my hair is really curly it can become brittle %26amp; dry

good luck

My hair is extremely dry and hard feeling, how do you get it to be soft and smooth, and how long will it take?

Honestly I've tried lots of shampoos and conditioners..

Redken conditioner, I've used for a year, it's great, but I have to wait 5-10 mins for it to soak in and then wash it out, so it gets kind of annoying.

The best one I've known to be used on me is Bumble and Bumble deep conditioner. I'm not really sure of the name, but they have really good conditioner my hair didn't feel like mine, it was amazing.

It's a bit costly, but wow, it'll make your hair feel great!

My hair is extremely dry and hard feeling, how do you get it to be soft and smooth, and how long will it take?

recently, i have been using shampoo and then leaving the conditioner in for just a few minutes. it works really well, but make sure you rinse it all out and don't get it on the top of your head or your hair will look greasy. my hair feels really soft and good, lol.

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

i cant do anything with i, its breaking really bad, and i have horrible split ends. i dye my hair so i dont want to strip the color either. any ideas?

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

Did you try putting olive oil on it? Coconut oil? Try getting a trim and just dyeing your roots when you dye your hair.

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

take a shower?

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

Go to a stylist

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

u should get a good shampoo and conditioner and also some deep conditioner and leave in conditioner

it will help your hair

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

try aussie's 3 minute miracle everyday for a week. get a trim to get rid of the split ends and keep them from continuing. use a conditioning hair dye like garnier nutrisse.

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

hi!! i went to cosmetology school and learned u should cut as many of the dead ends and splits that u have off...dont color your hair anymore...and dont strip it just let the color grow out...try not to wear your hair in a ponytail too much and try not to use hot tools on it to much..like curling irons, straightners...they damage your hair very badly...get a good shampoo that is specially made for dry damaged hair! give it time and it should be good!

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

YOU should shampoo your hair and then purchase some "beeswax hair pomade." It is quite therapeutic and healthy for your hair. I don't know the actual name of the product, but "beeswax" is the key component. Keep a daily journal about your daily "hair" regimen and it will be successful.

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

you could go to a salon and ask them for a deep conditioning. or you can deep condition your hair at home - a warning- make sure it guarantees not to strip the color away. leave the conditioner on for atleast 20minutes and use heat while it's on to activate the conditioner even more. Another thing that helps with breakage is protein treatments for the hair (see redken)

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

i rub a little neem hair oil on before i get in the shower. Then after I use my shampoo for color treated hair - I use a deep conditioner everyday instead of a regular conditioner.

it really helped my hair alot because i used to color and style excessively -- but now my hair looks amazingly healthy.

I also gave up using the blow dryer every day... although i still like using the curling iron... :-)

either way... the simple steps above in changing your routine will really help... you'll notice the change right away.

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

I asked my mom, who has been a stylist for 19+ years.

You need to stop dying your hair, because that continues to damage it.

Split ends can be taken care of with a good trim.

A hot oil treatment could work, depending on your hair type, but honestly, you need to see what your stylist says, because they will know your hair best.

Go to a reputable salon and see if they reccomend anything for your hair.

Haircare from a drugstore/walmart/etc are not nearly as good.

personally I reccoment PUROLOGY NANOWORKS shampoo and conditioner. it's about $50 each per bottle, but it lasts much longer then regular shampoo and is excellent for your hair. BUT, that's if you have the money to blow.

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

Shave it off! no just kidding. Try using Tresseme shampoo and conditioner. My sister in law went to beauty school and had hair that resemble and old broom stick head her teacher recommended this and the shampoo made her hair soft again. And for the split ends you have to get a trim.

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

Hot Oil Treatments work the best and they're super cheap. you can buy a tube at any Sally Beauty Supply Store or other beauty store, or a CVS or other drug store- they might even have them at target.

it's just basically a tube with oil in it, you let the tube sit in hot water for a minute or two and then massage it into your hair, let it sit for a minute then rinse-it works wonders. the major brands are Jojoba and Queen Helene.

they also have websites on the net where you can make your own hot oil treatments

you might want to do it a couple of times within a week. then do it every couple of weeks or once a month.

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

First, switch to a moisturizing shampoo. Don't leave shampoo on your hair too long; just long enough for it to clean your hair. Next, use a very moisturizing conditioner. Infusium has some great ones. Leave this on for at least three minutes. Shave your legs or something while your hair conditions (I'm assuming you're a girl!!!) Once out of the shower, pat your hair dry or wrap it in a soft towel. Don't rub it dry. Apply a leave in conditioner and avoid, as much as possible, styling it with heat. Get your split ends trimmed asap. If it is really damaged, you can get a salon to do some deep conditioning treatments.

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

You need to do a couple of things.

First, trim (just trim) any split ends.. Just grab a small scissor and clip the end of the hair that is split (about 1/8" off - 1 hair at a time, not a clump of hair as that would change your hairstyle).

I'm sure you know how important moisturizing your hair is but I will recommend a moisturizer that has saved my hair.

It's ColorSeal Conditioning Gloss ffom Clairol's Nice 'n Easy line. They sell it by the haircolor.

It is amazing the way it has helped my hair. So far everyone I've told about it is happy with the results. Your hair will feel great and stay nice until your next shampoo.

Just keep trimming the dead stuff and condition the rest.

Eventually you will get ahead of the problem.

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

well go for hot oil treatments, or do to a salon and get your hair deep-conditioned, or just buy a hair mask at any store and apply that. Get a shampoo and conditioner that isnt too harsh.. since your hair is so dry and damaged already, you shud reduce the amount of shampooing u do to it. Try to shampoo it only once a week, this will allow ur hair to retain its natural oils which you need!! And every other day wash it and condition it with a moisturizing conditioner.. maybe Tresemme or Ultimate moisture.. by Marc Anthony. Stop using any heat elements you use and let it repair. It will take a while but it will. You have split ends right? well the conditioner cant do anyhting to ur hair untill u get rid of those split ends, you shut get ur hair trimmed at the ends atleast after two months.. nothing will wokr untill u get ur split ends trimmed. Before your about to step into the shower.. wat you can do that will really help is message baby oil into the roots of your hair, and put vaseline on the ends. This really helps, and also i heard mayonaise help you hair but i dont knwo about that . so yeaa.. try these things and just be patient.. it will take a while it cant happen over night. GOOD LUCKK.

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

idk

but i use head and shoulder for shampoo

and pantene for conditioner

try it

and maybe dying your hair is the problem

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

ALL processing causes damage, color, stripper, irons, blow dryer... So, chill on all that, and use a conditioner, AND a leave in conditioner also, and use a protein, it gives the hair strength. ANY conditioner with a oil base will penetrate your hair shaft and lift out some of the color. Hate to say it, but, quit coloring till your hair can take it again. Concentrate on rebuilding it. Better to have hair a color you dont like than be bald:D no joke...

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

Try asking your hairdresser what to do. For now you should look for a shampoo and conditioner that it meant to moisturize and replenish but, as you said, will not take away the color.

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

i use aussie 3 minute miracle :)

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

..don't dye it? get it trimmed regularly, deep condition it and use a shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair.

My hair is really dry and damaged, what can i do for it?

A generous oil application and massage is recommended before washing the hair. Frequent shampooing is harmful for dry hair. Sometimes lack of nutrients can also cause dry brittle hair. Take a multivitamin and mineral supplement on a daily basis. Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Anyone found a hairdryer that dries ur hair super fast? My hairs long an thick an takes foreva to dr

You can get Parlux hairdryers. These are professional hairdryers and come in wattrage up to 1700.One other thing, bear in mind that the model number is very often nothing to do with the wattage! It is very confusing. Ignore the model number and look on the box for the wattage, dont be misled. The Parlux 3000 is in fact 1540-1760 Watts, more than enough. Much more and you will risk burning hair. They come in diff colour and compact sizes .

Anyone found a hairdryer that dries ur hair super fast? My hairs long an thick an takes foreva to dry?

I have thick hair too. Acctually i have dread locks. You have to dry you hair in parts. Set it or plate it in smaller parts to help it dry faster.

Anyone found a hairdryer that dries ur hair super fast? My hairs long an thick an takes foreva to dry?

gold n hot

Anyone found a hairdryer that dries ur hair super fast? My hairs long an thick an takes foreva to dry?

I bought the smallest cheapest hairdryer from Argos and it is the best one I have ever owned. It dries your hair super quick

Anyone found a hairdryer that dries ur hair super fast? My hairs long an thick an takes foreva to dry?

your best bet is to purchase a dryer from a hair salon. They generally are more powerfull. 2000 watts plus, also section your hair into 3 levels and dry with a paddle brush, this gives you more surface area and always use the nozzle on the dryer as you get a more controlled flow of hot air.

Anyone found a hairdryer that dries ur hair super fast? My hairs long an thick an takes foreva to dry?

Hot Tools Brand~~~the best.

Gold 'n' Hot is a knock off brand and is not that hot!

Cosmetologist =o)

Anyone found a hairdryer that dries ur hair super fast? My hairs long an thick an takes foreva to dry?

also its better to let your hair naturally dry, or at least most the way, its damaging to hair to dry it all the time. Unless you are using a cold hair dryer thats ok. If your wanting it dry for volume flip ur head upside down while wet, put mouse in it, fluff it, brush. then let dry naturally gives much more a healthy shiney non frizz look.

Anyone found a hairdryer that dries ur hair super fast? My hairs long an thick an takes foreva to dry?

I have the same problem, that has got alot better since I got one of those towels that's super absorbant. I wrap my hair in it as soon as I'm out the shower.

Has noticably taken time off my drying time! :D

Anyone found a hairdryer that dries ur hair super fast? My hairs long an thick an takes foreva to dry?

this is something i would like to know.

my hair takes forever, ive got the strongest hair dryer (i bought from salon)

i cant understand why it takes me so long either, seein as the hairdresser dries it in seconds.

you might be better drying it upside down and/or in parts and aimin the nozzle directly on to hair, some people blow it around too much and it doesnt do much

Anyone found a hairdryer that dries ur hair super fast? My hairs long an thick an takes foreva to dry?

i found the 'ion shine' by babyliss really good

Anyone found a hairdryer that dries ur hair super fast? My hairs long an thick an takes foreva to dry?

The best advice and method you can use for super thick hair, or any hair for that matter is to WAIT!

Do not attempt to dry your hair 5 minutes out of the shower. You need to wait until it's only slightly damp, not wet or soaking, before you try to blow dry. That's right, don't even attempt to dry it for a long time. Ever notice how at salons they wash your hair and go through a full cut before they even start drying? That's like 30 minutes!!!

It 1. saves your arms and time and 2. keeps your hair healthier.

Also, you should always blow-dry in small sections. It's faster and you have way more control.

Good luck!

Don't waste your money before trying this.

How can I dry my hair better?

I like my hair pin straight, and in the mornings after it's been washed, I can't get it entirely dry and straight because I can't get all the moisture out with the blowdryer. Is there a quick, easy way I can get it straight and dry? (I do have a nice ceramic flatiron, but it doesn't respond well with the heat and moisture the blowdryer leaves.)

How can I dry my hair better?

I suggest getting a new blow dryer. There are ones that are made by Ion (Sally Beauty Supply product) that dry the hair up to 30% faster than a conventional blow dryer. It also seals the hair cuticle allowing your hairs natural moisture to lock in so you dont get that dry dull look. You can use a wet to dry flat iron as well, but it is recommened that you dry your hair a bit before hand. Heat is bad for your hair as it is, so if you are going to try the wet to dry iron you should get a thermal protectant. Hope that helps you :))

How can I dry my hair better?

If they cant be done. Do something other maa'm.

How can I dry my hair better?

Wash hair the night before...use shower cap in the A.M.

How can I dry my hair better?

wash and dry your hair the night before...by the morning it will be completly dry

How can I dry my hair better?

My hairdresser suggested towel drying as much excess water as possible...and waiting at least ten to fifteen minutes after towel drying before using the hairdryer. I put makeup on then iron clothes and then blow dry....less damage. Its helpful to use your hand instead of a brush too.......

How can I dry my hair better?

Don't put anything hot (like a flatiron) on your hair while it is wet. Use a large round brush and get an ionic blowdryer. You can get one at walmart and it comes with attachments. Ionic blowdryers dry your hair a tad faster.

How can I dry my hair better?

wrap it and sit under a hair dryer

How can I dry my hair better?

there is a new shampoo and conditioner, its Herbal Esenses and its called Dangerously Straight. I just stared using it. then blow dry it.. if that doesn't work then try flat iron, look for the ones that don't fry your hair as much.

How can I dry my hair better?

my straighteners (revlon) are called *from wet to dry* an deven if your hairs moist ( not soaking) it wont burn itll just dry and straghten it as normal and its really good

How can I dry my hair better?

I used to have hair down to the middle of my back and I would have that problem, too. What I ended up doing is buying a diffuser and it would give me some curl to my hair as well as dry it completely. That wouldn't work for you since you want your hair kept straight. Use a brush or pick with your blowdrier on the highest setting, and flip your hair over your head upside down to get the under part dry. That would do it for me. It may take awhile to dry it, but it can be done!

How can I dry my hair better?

when combing out your hair use a comb and not a brush, a brush will break your hair and leave it very bad looking, a comb will not pull it as hard and it will let the hair breath better.

How can I dry my hair better?

first of all, buy a better hairdyer.. mines seem to work just fine.. but here's a tip .. while you're dying your hair, comb it in the style you want... combing it while dying it should make it straighter..

How can I dry my hair better?

you should never dry your hair with a blowdryer that damages your hair

How can I dry my hair better?

Lets see...what is your hair type??

I think you should towel dry your hair as dry as u can.

Then...find a product specifically for your hair type. Apply product %26amp; then blow dry. Let the hair cool off a bit.

Then after use the straightening iron.

Try Garnier, thermasilk. or even Pantene. Their products usually cover all hair types.

How can I dry my hair better?

buy the vidal sassoon ionic hair drier it works great. i have the same problem with my hair and i bought this hair drier and i'm glad i did.

How can I dry my hair better?

It sounds like you might need someone to teach you. Go to a salon and ask them to teach you how to dry your hair properly in order to make it straight. They would be happy to do it!

How can I dry my hair better?

try buying the Wet2Straight straightener. it's the straightener that you can use while your hair is wet. (:

How can I dry my hair better?

How i get mine straight i first put on a styling lotion then blow it dry with a paddle brush when its almost dry still damp i put on a little smoothing serum just 1/4 teaspoon and blow it until dry, then i use the flat iron and it makes it silky smooth but very time consuming I only do that on occasions

How can I dry my hair better?

You need a wet/dry flat Iron. That way you can blow dry your hair until it's just slightly damp and the flat iron will do the rest. A wet/dry iron is the best because it has vents in the plates that let the steam escape and dry your hair evectively without burining it. If you don't want to buy another iron you should try a straightening serum. Put it on your wet hair and then blow dry. This will help it dry faster and respond better the flat iron. Good Luck!

How can I dry my hair better?

a ceramic iron will FRY your hair if it isn't totally dry first.

blow dry in all directions. bend at the waist and blow the underneath and top. do your side bends to get the sides and crown. grab the blow dryer by the part that air comes out (not the handle) and blow dry in little circles all over to make sure the roots are dry.

make sure you use a styling creme on dry hair before flat ironing. (the smoke you see when ironing will be the product and not your hair.) if it smells like burning hair - it probably is. if it smells like product - it probably is.

flat iron methodically starting at the nape. work your way up to the crown , then the sides and top. keep hair clips handy and pin away any hair not being worked with.

turn down the a.c. at night. if you sweat during the night, you will have flyaway hair in the a.m..

ONLY FLAT IRON ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK. get regular trims. deep condition twice a month at least.

How can I dry my hair better?

hang your head upsite down or sideways and put your palm next to your scalp and rub while you blowdry your scalp area first that always takes the longest to dry the heat from the drier and the hand will make it dry first .Thats were thew moisture problem comes in than after that start blow drying the rest to your styling way.its a scalp thing it always has to be dried first

How do You Rough Dry your hair??? please help!?

How do You Rough Dry your hair??? please help!?

How do You Rough Dry your hair??? please help!?

I want to wash my hair, but I don't want to blow dry it, but I don't want it to be messed

I got my hair relaxed in september and I want to wash it now, but I don't want to blow dry it...it is just a lot of trouble to go through, plus I am in college staying in a dorm with a roomate and the blow dryer makes a lot of noise and is hard to use because of limited/strategically placed plugs. I would rather just wash my hair and let it dry naturally. But I know it will probably just look frizzy and messed up unless I do something to it after washing it. So what should I do? Is it ok to just let it dry naturally? It won't look messed up or anything will it? How bout if I wash it then apply a styling solution, but still just let it dry naturally?

I want to wash my hair, but I don't want to blow dry it, but I don't want it to be messed up?

I let my hair dry naturally and it seems to be more manageable and straighter when I let it air dry. I have really long thick hair so I put it in a bun while it's air drying and I put it in a scarf at night. I put olive oil on my hair (it comes in a can) after it has fully dried and I flat iron it. It's nice to give your hair some time away from all that heat. So to flat iron it and blow dry it can be a bit much if you do it every time you wash your hair. I have a relaxer too and the funny thing is I haven't got my done since September. I hope that helped you.

I want to wash my hair, but I don't want to blow dry it, but I don't want it to be messed up?

the night before I would wash my hair then put anti frizz cream or gel on it and then softly braid my hair then in the morning when I wake up I undo the braids and my hair would have soft waves flowing

I want to wash my hair, but I don't want to blow dry it, but I don't want it to be messed up?

I ALWAYS let my hair air dry. It is a little frizzy, but my hair is extremely thick and takes about an hour to blow dry. I take a shower every moring before I go to school, so I don't have enough time to blow dry it. So don't be afraid to let it air dry- your hair won't be messed up. If you really are afraid of it being messed up by wind though, bring a small comb with you.

I want to wash my hair, but I don't want to blow dry it, but I don't want it to be messed up?

I have African American relaxed hair, whenever I dont feel like blow drying, which I seldom do because it is damaging and Im lazy!, I just wrap my hair at night while its wet. In the morning I use a flat iron, section by section, mine works well because it is a professional one (Chi) and my hair stays soft, silky, and straight.

I want to wash my hair, but I don't want to blow dry it, but I don't want it to be messed up?

you can use garnier fructis friss serum.. it is a very good product.. mi hair is beyond frizzy wen i let it dry naturally so i totally recommend this product... i hope it helps

I want to wash my hair, but I don't want to blow dry it, but I don't want it to be messed up?

First off, I hope this isn't your first time washing your hair since the relaxer in Sept.

Secondly, I rarely blow dry my hair, too much heat causes damage %26amp; even if I blow dry it still needs flat ironing.

So just let it air dry, be sure to put in a leave in conditioner after you wash it %26amp; sleep on a satin pillow case. Once it's dry then flat iron it. You could wrap it after you wash, but it your hair is thick it will take long to dry this way.

I dont know if i have dry hair and curly hair. people say i have wavy hair andnot dry.how can i figu

To test out the porosity, which is the ability of your hair to retain moisture, take a strand of hair out of your brush and put it in a cup of water. If the hair sinks to the bottom, it's dry and very porous, if it floats, you're doing ok.

I dont know if i have dry hair and curly hair. people say i have wavy hair andnot dry.how can i figure it out?

!if you are young and or under 40, then you have very oily to oily hair!!!

I dont know if i have dry hair and curly hair. people say i have wavy hair andnot dry.how can i figure it out?

Dry hair is brittle, breaks off easily and has a lot of split ends. Your hair probably just has a coarse texture.

I dont know if i have dry hair and curly hair. people say i have wavy hair andnot dry.how can i figure it out?

If you have dry hair, then it just gets really nasty to touch. It kind of gets poofy, there are split ends and it feels like dead grass (sort of, not literally) You can usually get a few strands of hair, then if you pull on the ends and they break, then you have damaged hair. If your hair also dries very quickly, it is also a sign that you may have dry hair

I am suppose to get my hair colored tomorrow and I noticed that my scalp is dry and flaky..?

I am suppose to get my hair done tomorrow and I just noticed that my scalp is dry and flaky. Will they still be able to color my hair, or should I say is it safe to still have my hair colored. Also I have never had dry/flaky scalp, what do I do for it?? Any home remedies???

I am suppose to get my hair colored tomorrow and I noticed that my scalp is dry and flaky..?

ok. i dye my hair all the time. use some dandriff conditioner. if you are worried about it, before you get it colored, ask the cosmotologist if it will be ok. if you colored your hair just resently, it may not be a good idea to NOT color it becuase the dying dries your scalp out. however, its up to you! good luck with your decison. and i hope that i helped! l8ter

I am suppose to get my hair colored tomorrow and I noticed that my scalp is dry and flaky..?

Have you dyed your hair before? If you don't have an allergy to dye, I'd say you're OK but I would put a lot of conditioner on your hair afterwards.

I found out that I was allergic to hair dyes, but not bleach. I was surprised. For a while I wanted to color my hair a darker, reddish shade of blonde so I kept trying the dye. So I would massage a lot of conditioner etc into my scalp before I dyed my hair. It helped but it can make the dye not "stick" to the hair near the scalp.

I ended up just going back to bleaching my hair, as I realized it was way too grey to try to dye it, with this allergy.

When I have dry flaky scalp, I use Selsan Blue with conditioner.

I am suppose to get my hair colored tomorrow and I noticed that my scalp is dry and flaky..?

Dandruff shampoos and conditioners dry your scalp out because dandruff is really sometimes a scabby, oily condition. Stay away from dandruff conditioners. Use hot oil treatments for a few days and drink a lot of water. Also, stop using styling products to see if you have an allergy. If your scalp is itchy and you scratch it, the hair color will hurt really bad, so wait a few days!

How many times can you blow dry your hair a month w/o little damage?

you shouldnt blow dry your hair a lot. if you do use a strong moisturizer. dont blow dry more than like two three times a week

How many times can you blow dry your hair a month w/o little damage?

i blowdry my hair everday

How many times can you blow dry your hair a month w/o little damage?

Using a hair drier is sure the quickest way to damage your hair. I don't blow dry my hair much. I have long hair down to my shoulder blades. It only takes me less than 5 minutes to blow dry them. Of course they are still damp after I am done. But then I drive to work and I have my windows open slightly. By the time I get to work 80% of my hair already dry. After an hour or so at work my hair is totally dry. Even with that little hair drying everytime I go to my hair dresser she tells me that the outter layer of my hair is very dry because of the less than 5 minutes blow drying. Imagine if I blow dry my hair until my hair get complety dry?

What can i use to air-dry my hair and make the curls look less frizzy and more...together/defined?

My hair gets really frizzy if I don't do anything with it and air dry it. Enter: Aussie hair care products! They are the best I've found for keeping my hair under control. If you want a soft, dry curl look, use the medium hold mouse and a little finishing spray. I like the wet look, so I use the Maximum hold mousse, then Spray 'n' sprunch, and finish off with Instant Freeze maximum hold hair spray. I love Aussie, cuz you can mix and match products to get the look you want. Good luck!

Don't comb your hair once you get out of the shower. comb it with the conditioner in. finger comb it when you get out and add more conditioner to it like a cream, squeeze your hair together as you apply it. then put a curl defining cream(Curls Rock Catwalk line by TiGi/Bedhead)on and scrunch the ends with it. it will dry better in the house rather than in the wind outside.

What can i use to air-dry my hair and make the curls look less frizzy and more...together/defined?

After a shower comb you hair with a wide tooth comb and not too much. You can put leave on conditioners, hair creams or anti-frizz creams (Sebastian) or hair oils. Have a hair treatment ones a week and use a good set of shampoo and conditioners for your type of hair. Hope I helped you.

What can i use to air-dry my hair and make the curls look less frizzy and more...together/defined?

use a pick or a wide tooth comb and comb through a conditioner. Biolage by Matrix makes a curl defining creme that is AMAZING and smells great only it cost around 12.00 but it is worth it.

What can i use to air-dry my hair and make the curls look less frizzy and more...together/defined?

You can apply a hair wax (like Bumble and Bumble Styling Wax) or pomade (like Got2B Defiant Define Plus Shine Pomade).

What do you do if your hair is dry and damaged?

Any special shampoos or conditioners would do? My friends love my wavy hair but they wont if they notice the dryness. HELP!

What do you do if your hair is dry and damaged?

First don't do this to please your friends, I hope you would want your own hair to be healthy, and soft. The best thing would to use a conditioning shampoo and conditioner. And do a deep conditioning. If that doesn't work your going to need to cut if off, even though your not going to want to. Healthy hair is the only kind of hair!!

What do you do if your hair is dry and damaged?

go to the salon and get it deep conditioned

What do you do if your hair is dry and damaged?

Mayonnaise? Sounds gross but it really moisturizes your hair.. and if you wash it a few times it wont smell :)

What do you do if your hair is dry and damaged?

-Use a good mosturizing shampoo and conditioner like herbal essences hello hydration or pantene

-Do hot oil treatment using olive oil once a week. This nourishes your hair.

-Do deep conditioning 3 times a week using a good hair mask like Neutrogena triple moisture, elvive from loreal or pantene deep fortifying treatment. These nourish your hair and make it healthy and shiny.

-Use sunsilk straighten up leave-in conditioner to protect your hair when u go out in the sun

-Trim your hair once every 8-10 weeks to remove split ends.

-Massage your scalp daily using a wide toothed comb. This improves circulation into your head and stimulates growth.

What do you do if your hair is dry and damaged?

Paul Mitchell makes the best shampoo and conditioner. It's expensive, but you can buy it on line - hairdeals.com and save a little money. Biolage is another good hair care line.

What do you do if your hair is dry and damaged?

I would suggest getting the ends trimmed and using a shampoo and conditioner for dry/damaged hair. If you blow dry and curl or straighten your hair, I would also use some kind of heat protectant on it (you can get these at Wal Mart or Target).

What do you do if your hair is dry and damaged?

I color and straighten my hair and when it looks dry put on a lil blow silk at the salon's in Walmart. Makes it so nice, but use every other day cause it can weight your hair down!!

What do you do if your hair is dry and damaged?

i know it sounds disgusting but if you don't have oily hair... take mayo and add lemon juice (not too much) and coat your hair with the mixture. then wrap your hair in a towel for say 15-20 mins. then thouroghly wash your hair. it's real moisturizing for your hair

or

if that grosses you out too much then look for a condtioner made for african american women. because genetically their hair is dryer, the conditioner with be more moisterizing.

hope this works :)

What do you do if your hair is dry and damaged?

do a cholesterol treatment , and then if the ends are still dry have a good trim.

How many times can you blow dry your hair a month w/o damage more than a little damage?

The heat is the issue with the damage. Make sure to move the hair dryer around frequently. Most dryers also have a "cool" setting which you could try, if you are simply looking to dry your hair more quickly, not necessarily style.

How many times can you blow dry your hair a month w/o damage more than a little damage?

theres not a limit but just try to not use it as much

How many times can you blow dry your hair a month w/o damage more than a little damage?

i don't think you can blow dry your hair a certain amount of times and not damage it.

the blow dryer is extremely damaging to ur hair so i guess theres no hope.

How many times can you blow dry your hair a month w/o damage more than a little damage?

everytime you blow dry your hair, you damage it so put a "Studio Heat Seeker" product in your hair before you blow dry. you can buy it at Target

Any1 tried the boots chemical hair strightening kits? my hair is dry, curly +frizzy help!!!?

Any1 tried the boots chemical hair strightening kits? my hair is dry, curly +frizzy help!!!?

No.

But if your hair's dry, it would break if it was chemically straightened.

Please don't chemically straighten it.

Any1 tried the boots chemical hair strightening kits? my hair is dry, curly +frizzy help!!!?

Hi. my niece did mine with the Boots kit and it turned out really good. Follow the instructions well and all should be ok. Good riddance to your frizz............. x

Any1 tried the boots chemical hair strightening kits? my hair is dry, curly +frizzy help!!!?

My auntie uses it for her "pob" and it works great. But first sort the condition of your hair out else it will fall out and break. Use a good shampoo, conditioner and intensive repair treatment for 3 weeks, like Aussie, they are brilliant for repairing hair. See how your hair looks and feels after 3 weeks, if there is no change you may need a trim to get rid of the split ends. Also, when you straighten and blow dry use heat protector, RedKen do a good one called Smooth Down

Any1 tried the boots chemical hair strightening kits? my hair is dry, curly +frizzy help!!!?

Hi.

I have tried it, it sort of relaxed my hair a bit more but it is not 100% straight. It still frizzes up and goes all kinky.

To be honest, i dont think i left the solution on long enoug anyway. Give it a try. It depends what your hair is like. My hair is quite wavy and kinky.

I have very curly dry brown hair. it is also very thin. is coloring good for it, if so which brand and color?

if your planning on coloring your hair, its best to get it done professionally . but if you doing it yourself, loreal is a good brand. and if your looking for a major change in color, maybe you could go with a dark blond or dirty blond. or you could just change the shade of brown or something.

I have very curly dry brown hair. it is also very thin. is coloring good for it, if so which brand and color?

I also have curly brown thin hair. I have been coloring it since high school. What will look the best is a color that is NOT more than three shades lighter than your hair. three shades lighter is the maximum that would look good with your skin. Hair color will damage you hair, make sure you get hair treatment and leave-in conditioners to help your hair look healthier.Maybe, you should try non-permanent color first, and then go for a permanent shade once you are ready to make a decision.

How to take care of my dry&rough hair?

Natural homemade hair care tip for a Dry Hair:

Many struggle with dry, hard to manage hair. This can be cause naturally by genetics or improper care such as using harsh chemicals (relaxers, color) or by hot styling products (blow dryer, heat iron). The good news is that some beauty recipes can help restore or re-hydrate your hair leaving it softer and shinier than ever.

閳?Mix 1 tablespoon Honey and any type of vegetable oil. Distribute mixture evenly all over the hair.

閳?Coat dry hair with mayonnaise, once finished cover with a plastic shower cap and leave on for 10-20 minutes.

閳?Apply olive oil all over your hair. Cover with a plastic bag and let it stay for 20 minutes. For extra conditioning take a warm shower while waiting. The heat will help the oil work to its maximum potential.

閳?Beat one egg, add 3 tablespoons of water and apply to scalp and hair.

This applies to all recipes: Once you are done waiting for the natural ingredients to work their magic wash, rinse, and style hair as usual.

First check your shampoo! If you are using a harsh, unsuitable shampoo, it will not only dry your hair, it will cause breakage and dry scalp may turn flaky and cause a lot of other problems.

Use an especially mild shampoo made for dry hair. One fortified with essential oils to replace the last nourishment is ideal. A good conditioner also helps soften dry hair. After wash keep your damp hair in a turbaned towel for about 15 minutes. Finger comb it in a gentle massage like movements-this-will activate the oil glands in your scalp. Then brush it gently. Oil massages followed by a steamy, hot towel on your head every 15 days will also help get rid of dryness.

for very dry hair, put mayo on your hair and wrap with a very warm towel. leave on for up to 15 min. and then rinse very well and wash hair with a mild(even baby shampoo) shampoo. Only do this once a week or hair will get an oily appearance.

I have terrible hair fall.. my hair looks dry and lifeless now..?

Neither shampoos nor hair oils make your hair healthy perfectly. I'm telling you this from my personal experience. Shampoos and oils are only outer source. But the problem is inside the body that is the root cause of hair fall. So it is utmost important to improve your health first. Following are basics remedies for healthy hair.

1. Sleep: Sleep is first step to improve your health. Whatsoever you do and whatsoever you eat will be useless without a good sleep. If you are adult, try to take alteast eight hours sleep continuoulsy in night.

2. Eath Healthy: Try to eat as much as you can protienics, Vitamins %26amp; Minerals diets. That include Meat, Beans, Dairy products, egg, vegetables and fruits.

3. Excercise: There is old adage for mind, "use it or loose it" Same thing happens with our body. If you do not excercise regularly, your diet will not absorb properly. Excecise like yoga improve your blood flow, oxygen which makes your mind healthy. That means you're making your hair roots stronger.

4. Patience: fourth and last basic rule is to keep patience. You should go on above rules for long term and that needs patience.

Another improtant thing I want to share with your is that forget about hair issue. I mean to say, don't give your cocentration anymore. Giving concertation is like giving food to wound. What will happen when you give food to something. Definitely, It will grow more and more.

Other things you can do are these..

1. Alway keep your scalp clean by herbal shampoos and by protecting dust and dirty materials. Which protect your hair from damaging.

2. Oil your hair atleast three time a week. You can use different types oil which suits your hair. But I'll prefere Mustered oil + Amla + Coconut + Lemon (which control your sebum).

If you follow these for three to six months you'll definitely get the results.

One last thing I want to add is that hair fall and baldness also depends upon Androgen which is male sex harmone. Changing or imblance of this harmone may results falling of hairs.

I have terrible hair fall.. my hair looks dry and lifeless now..?

try shampoos without sodium laureth sulphate, good health shops sell them (faith in nature, JASON, Weleda are good brands), also try this site for a list(free P%26amp;P):look through for one that you like %26amp; is appropriate for your hair type.

this is a very good remdy for hair loss(alopecia):

take a strong multi-vitamin %26amp; mineral tablet everyday plus 2 grams of vitamin C %26amp; zinc tabletsThere'll be zinc in the multi-vitamin but take the extra dose as instructed on the container until the hair begins to grow normally.

PS%26gt; Victoria Health do some good mutil-vitamins
