Is It Normal For Your Hair To Become Very Dry At This Time of Year?

It seems like every September and into early October my hair get really dried out and my scalp gets very itchy. Does anyone else have this problem?

I try using conditioner but it doesn閳ユ獩 seem to help very much. Is there anything else I can do?

yep, mine is doing it as well, every year i go through this. i've never completely understood why, either. some one suggested to me a few years ago that it might have something to do with the municipal water system and chemicals that they periodically need to use to keep the water lines from building up with sediment. it kinda made sense to me at the time. my hair and scalp do this in the spring time as well, and could be all chalked up to seasonal changes....i've tried a lot of different things, but nothing really worked, but i do cut down to washing my hair every other day, and always use conditioner. hope you find a way to deal with your situation, i know how annoying it can be!

Its the weather changing. The sweating you do in the summer keeps the scalp moisturized. The winter is drier to the hair. Report It

try using an intensive conditioner, it must have somethign to do with change in air or something as mine does the same

Mine does this all year but I use a (cheap) dandruff shampoo and a intensive conditioner(exspensive) that I leave on for an hour and (do not blow dry) let dry and place an oil in it(sometimes just on the ends)leaving it in till I wash again followed with regular conditioner. I do the deep treatment once a week till it looks better.
