Best shampoo and conditioner for very dry hair, prone to split ends?

I straighten my hair every 2 or 3 days and its gets really dry. Its a pretty cheap straightener and im saving up for a new one that wont be so damaging, but I have so much split ends. I get my hair trimmed every now and then but it doesn't take long for the split ends to come back...

And not straightening my hair is not an option. Its the kind that puffs out 3inches from your head..haha

So I need some advice on the best products....

I chemically treat my hair a lot...and the best (cheap) shampoo I've ever tried was tresemme anti-breakage with b12.....it's wonderful.

Tigi honey and wild oats also seemed to work pretty well, but it's a little more.

i straighten my hair a couple times a week as well, and i have a nice flat iron and that doesnt help i still get split ends. u need to get regular trims, and a leave in condtioner, u should also use some kind of flat iron serum to protect your hair when u straigthening it, ion is a good brand . and u should use a weekly hot oil treatment.

the absolutely very best conditioner for my hair is mayonnaise - hellmans, kraft, any brand. I put it on dry hair, put a shower cap on and a towel just out of the dryer over that and leave it on for an hour. Rinse it out, shampoo to get the excess out, and dry it....this is the best conditioner I've ever used on my hair...it will really relax your hair and put quite a shine on it, too! Do not do this is you plan to go anywhere - your hair will smell like mayo for a day or two, but it does help to deep condition your hair! FYI - I can only do this maybe once or twice a month as it REALLY conditions my hair (gets pretty limp and lifeless if I do it more!)....Good luck!

ok i use tresemme moisture rich for dry/damage hair i haev dry hair as well and or use sunsilk pink TLC for dry.split ends/damage or dove therapy

to help protect the hair from heat i use tresemme heat tamer really darnn good i'll say you wash hair spray heat tamer on towel damp hair and then let air dry or blow dry on low i blow dry and then i flat iron

i have the same type of hair. it's horribly poofy, at least 3 FEET from my head. haha not really.

but i use sunsilk anti-poof shampoo and hydra-tlc conditioner. i'm thinking those would work pretty good on your hair. the hydra-tlc gives your hair moisture and helps prevent breakage.
