A classic mistake when blowdrying hair is to start brushing too soon.

Don't do this as brushing any hair style that requires blow drying too soon can ruin the hair style!

Instead, ensure that you wait til the hear is very nearly dry - say around 3/4's dry if you can measure that - before you get the hair brush out and start brushing!

Depends on the style you want....If you have fine and or limp hair, the best way would to be to use light mouse, or products that you apply at the roots to help give the look of volume, then blow dry your hair upside down (bend over and flop hair down and blow dry focusing at the roots of your hair first, then doing the rest) If you have curly hair and want to keep the curl without it frizzing out on you, use a blowdryer with a diffuser, if its really frizzy hair they sell products like "frizz ease" etc that is basically a light conditioning oil that you can sparingly apply before blowdrying. OR if you have curly hair but want a more straightened smooth look, get a vent brush (does less damage to hair in my experience) apply product of your choice (tons of options to help straighten or smooth out curly/frizzy hair) and take the brush starting at the roots grab a section and blowdry while slowly taking the brush down to the ends of your hair, 2 inch thin sections works best for mine, can experiment to see what gives you best results. I hope this helps! (also if you are worried about damage to your hair from the blowdryer there are a quite a few products that you can apply to your hair (usually spray on) that helps protect your hair as you blowdry) =)
